On July 4, the Silicon Industry Branch announced the latest price of monocrystalline silicon wafers this week.

This week, silicon wafer prices fluctuated, among which the average transaction price of N-type G10L monocrystalline silicon wafers (182*183.75 mm /130μm/256mm) rose to US$0.154/piece, up 0.9% month-on-month; the average transaction price of N-type G12R monocrystalline silicon wafers (182*210mm/130μm) fell to US$0.180/piece, down 9.66% month-on-month; the average transaction price of N-type G12 monocrystalline silicon wafers (210*210 mm/150μm) remained at US$0.227/piece, flat month-on-month.

First, the G10L and G12R production lines are currently undergoing capacity conversion, resulting in a temporary shortage of small-size silicon wafers. This has led to delays in production and delivery, which has had an impact on the market. But it should be noted that this is a short-term problem and is expected to be resolved in the coming months.

Secondly, the productivity differences among different companies are also one of the reasons for the decline in the price of N-type silicon wafers. The production capacity of the two major companies reached 50% and 95% respectively, and the productivity of the entire industry varied greatly. In particular, the productivity of integrated companies fluctuated between 50% and 60%, while the productivity of other companies remained between 30% and 100%.

On July 3, the Silicon Industry Branch announced the latest price of polysilicon materials this week. The price of polysilicon n-type products was stable this week, and the price of p-type products was slightly reduced.

This week, the market transactions of n-type rod silicon and p-type rod silicon were relatively active. Four companies had traded n-type rod silicon, while three companies had traded p-type rod silicon. Both types of silicon materials have a large transaction volume, and some companies have signed orders until the middle of this month. The price of n-type small materials from large factories is basically maintained at around 40,000 yuan/ton, and the price is relatively stable. In addition, the production capacity of n-type silicon materials has basically been converted to n-type, and p-type rod silicon mostly exists as defective materials in the production of n-type polysilicon. Most companies no longer distinguish between specific types, and most silicon materials are sold at a fixed price. This information is of great reference value to the silicon material market, and companies and investors can make more informed decisions based on these development trends.
