Polysilicon Prices Remained Unchanged This Week

Polysilicon prices this week remained stable compared with the previous week. At present, there are 17 polysilicon production companies in my country, and the number of maintenance companies is still 5.

Among them, the transaction price range of n-type rod silicon was 5,524-6,214.5 US dollars/ton, and the average transaction price was 5,938.3 US dollars/ton, which was the same as the previous month. The transaction price range of p-type dense materials was US$4,695.4-5,385.9/ton, and the average transaction price was US$5,151/ton, which was the same as the previous month. The n/p rod silicon price difference is US$607.6/ton. The transaction price range of n-type granular silicon was US$5,109.7-5,385.9/ton, and the average transaction price was US$5,178.8/ton, which was the same as the previous month. The high and low price ranges of this transaction have been adjusted, but due to the extremely small trading volume, the weighted average price has not changed.

In April 2024, polysilicon import volume was 3,668 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 23.48%. However, the export volume of polysilicon was 1,980 tons, a month-on-month increase of 17.22%. Despite the decline in imports, the increase in exports is a positive sign for China's polysilicon industry.

Polycrystalline silicon is an important raw material for the production of solar panels, semiconductor devices and other electronic components. Therefore, the stability of polysilicon prices also provides stability to downstream industries.

At present, the polysilicon market is affected by many factors such as raw material costs, production capacity, and downstream industry demand. Since China is the largest producer and exporter of polysilicon, any fluctuations in the industry will affect global markets.

However, it is worth noting that despite the challenges, China's polysilicon industry is still thriving. Over the years, the industry has experienced significant technological advancements that have increased production efficiency and reduced production costs.

In addition, the Chinese government has been supporting the polysilicon industry by providing tax incentives and subsidies to promote sustainable development. This encourages companies to invest in research and development, thereby improving product quality and ensuring sustainable growth of the industry.

To sum up, the stable price of polysilicon this week is good news for the industry. Despite the challenges, the industry continues to improve and grow, offering hope for a brighter future. With government support and growing demand for renewable energy, China's polysilicon industry will reach new heights in the future.
