History of PV Development in China: From Start to Rise
Since the 1970s, solar technology has gradually developed into an important renewable energy source. With the increasing awareness of environmental protection and the increasingly prominent problem of global climate change, solar energy, as a renewable and environmentally friendly form of energy, has received more and more attention. In my country, photovoltaic power generation, as one of the core technologies representing solar energy, has also been rapidly developed and applied. With the continuous improvement of technology, China's photovoltaic industry has also experienced a process from start to rise.

1. The initial period of photovoltaic
In the 1990s, China's photovoltaic industry was in its infancy. In 1992, the China Solar Photovoltaic Industry Association was established; in 1996, my country exported photovoltaic modules; in 1999, Wuxi Suntech became the first enterprise in China to produce polycrystalline silicon ingots and wafers. At the same time, the state has also begun to propose policies and measures to support the development of the solar energy industry, promoting the development of the photovoltaic industry. However, due to the constraints of technological level and economic foundation, the photovoltaic industry in this period once seemed weak.
2. Photovoltaic rapid development stage
After entering the new century, my country's photovoltaic industry began to enter a period of rapid development. In 2005, with strong support, China's solar photovoltaic industry expanded rapidly and became one of the emerging industries in my country and one of the high-tech industries with great international market competitiveness. In 2009, China became the world's largest photovoltaic producer.
During this period, Wuxi Suntech once had a very high market share and great influence. However, with the rapid development of the photovoltaic market, Wuxi Suntech's low technology level, backward equipment and production technology can no longer meet the needs of industry development. The business is in difficulty, the production capacity does not match the market demand, and it gradually embarks on the road of decline.
3. The Rise of the Photovoltaic Industry: LONGi
Since 2010, the photovoltaic industry has entered another stage, which is the rising period. The rise of an industry cannot only rely on government support and technological innovation, but also requires excellent companies as market leaders and disruptors. During this process, LONGi, as a typical "Luoyang Zhigui", has rapidly emerged as a leading enterprise in China's photovoltaic industry. Become one of the largest photovoltaic companies in the world.

The reasons why LONGi can rise are:
1. Technological progress: In terms of cost, LONGi took the lead in adopting crystalline silicon slicing technology, developed and produced high-efficiency modules, continuously optimized product performance, improved photovoltaic power generation efficiency, and gained more industry recognition.
2. Complete industrial chain: LONGi has a complete photovoltaic industrial chain, from silicon material to module manufacturing process, which ensures the quality, safety and reliability of products while reducing production costs.
3. Advantages in marketing channels: LONGi has complete international marketing channels and has expanded its overseas market share. In 2019 it was considered one of the most internationally competitive companies.
In short, after years of development, China's photovoltaic industry has become a modern industry with international influence. In the future, the photovoltaic industry will continue to develop rapidly and make greater contributions to the sustainable development of the world.
