Silicon Wafer Price Changes
In the first week of January, N-type silicon wafer prices rose sharply, as detailed below:
- N-type G12 monocrystalline silicon wafer (182×210mm/130μm): Average transaction price was $0.203/piece, up 9.21% week-on-week.
- N-type G10L silicon wafer (182×183.75mm/130μm): Average transaction price was $0.187/piece, up 9.17% week-on-week.
Companies such as LONGi and Jinko raised their silicon wafer prices simultaneously, driving up the costs of downstream solar cells and modules.

Key Reasons for Price Increases (Authoritative Analysis)
1. Policy-Driven: The cancellation of export tax rebates for photovoltaic products on April 1st prompted companies to rush to ship during the grace period, driving up module prices and leading companies vying for orders.
2. Rising Costs: Spot silver prices surged to over $93 per ounce, a record high; prices of raw materials such as silicon, copper, and aluminum rebounded, pushing up production costs.
3. Surge in Demand: Domestic demand for distributed photovoltaic systems rebounded, and overseas markets followed suit, with FOB prices in Europe reaching a near three-year high.
Data Notes
- All prices in this article are tax-inclusive quotes after conversion. Actual export FOB prices are typically $0.005-0.01/W higher than the prices listed.
- Actual transaction prices may vary due to factors such as order size, payment terms, and delivery time. Some older order quotes have been cancelled.
- Price Conversion Notes: All USD prices in this article are converted at an exchange rate of 1 USD = 7 RMB. This exchange rate is largely consistent with the RMB/USD central parity rate of 7.0006 on January 20, 2026, and is highly reliable for reference.
